Looking back on the gathering at ISI headquarters on December 19, it’s safe to say that the Employee Holiday Party has become the “don’t miss” event of the year for our staff.
The annual event, a new ISI tradition we started in 2012, is an opportunity for everyone to relax and have some fun and lots of laughs. Holding it at our facility in Itasca makes for a special warm, home-like feel which everyone seems to enjoy.
The bag toss—something new for the 2014 party—was a big hit. Interested players put their names in a hat for drawings to form two-person teams competing in an elimination tournament. Debbie Hermann and Gary Wyman prevailed against Jason Van Schaik and Mike Guyette in the final bracket to win the tournament. Along with Fitbit wrist bands, they won serious bragging rights.
Only Karen Power and her many elves can create such a great party setting, with the tents, lighting, colorful decorations, food selections, libations and, of course, the raffle. Karen and her team’s hard work and planning are greatly appreciated by all who attended. Our thanks to Mark Sprenzel, Chris Fry, Nick Stober, Meghan Winkler, Gabby Broccolino, Debbie Postma and Mitzy Aviles.
We also want to thank the many people who stayed to stack the rental chairs and tables for pickup.
Finally, a very special Thank You to the Sprenzel family for making the Employee Holiday Party possible.
Jim DeVries and Jeff Robbins were the winners of the grand prizes, two flat-screen TVs. The other raffle winners were Jim Bard, Fernando Colunga, Mike Hermanson, Jeff Jacobsen, Xavier Jimenez, Modell Jonkins, Steve Kosacz, Rob Manley, Alex Ojeda, Tom Robbins, Joe Schmutz and Craig Wagner.
