ISI is Chicagoland’s leading installer of architectural wall products. With 15–20 specially trained installers in constant demand, we do more volume and install more brands and lines of movable wall than any other company.

We have successfully completed projects in virtually every commercial high-rise building in downtown Chicago as well as every major office park in the metro area.

Technology is a strategic focus for ISI. OrderWorks®, our custom primary business system, speeds the flow of information and supports decision making in every facet of our business—sales, work order process management, receiving and distribution operations, asset management, finance, HR, even client communications. We even take OrderWorks to the field, with more than 65 iPhones all equipped with our OrderWorks app.

Understanding that the success of our clients’ projects rests in part on the quality of our facilities, equipment and tools, we invest accordingly. The prime example is our new corporate headquarters, a 150,000 square foot warehouse/office complex in Itasca, Illinois.

Concern for ISI’s impact on the natural environment is always a part of our corporate planning. Our headquarters facility, by design, incorporates furniture made from readily sustainable materials, energy-saving lighting fixtures, motion sensors for energy-conserving lighting control, water-conserving plumbing fixtures and collection stations for recyclables. We currently recycle approximately 80% of project waste from our job sites, either recycling on site or bringing materials to our warehouse for compacting and pickup. Our use of iPhones and the OrderWorks app in the field greatly reduces the need for paper-based project documents.

Our more than 125 full-time union carpenters have an average 20 years of experience. They are factory-trained and –certified on all major furniture and architectural wall lines. At least 75 of them are qualified foremen.

Our sales and project management staff members collectively represent more than 220 years of account and project management experience.

We operate a highly effective safety program which has produced a Worker’s Compensation Experience Rating of less than 1%. OSHA-10 certification is required for every installer. We also develop and enforce site-specific safety programs.

We actively participate in Facilities Services Network, an association of leading independent contract furniture installation companies in the US, Canada and Australia which work together to promote professionalism and best practices in installation and other facility service specialties.
